Since September 2020 a group of philatelist colleagues from Latin America have been meeting every Thursday at 8pm EST, to discuss the current status of the regulations and guidelines for the exhibition of Postal Stationery.
There are many loopholes and misunderstandings in the interpretation of these norms and therefore we decided to study these grey areas in depth in order to come to some conclusions and hopefully propose some alternatives which will be presented to FIAF, published in their magazine and then, if we get there, take the proposal directly to the FIP.
As usual, Mi Oficina Philatelic Society lent itself to channel and promote the first conclusions of our progress. They were recorded and uploaded to Youtube.
The team was made up of fourteen gems of Latin American philately and myself, since I was lucky enough to join them and participate in these discussions:
Alberto Villaronga, Leader – Argentina Andres Schlichter – Argentina Cesar Sancho – Costa Rica Cristián Mouat – Chile Guillermo Gallegos – El Salvador Juan Pablo Aguilar – Ecuador Juan Reinoso – Costa Rica Luis Fernando Díaz – Costa Rica Manuel Arango – Colombia Mario Ramirez – México Mauricio Mejías – Honduras Teddy Suarez – Ecuador Walter Britz – Uruguay Will Castillo – Venezuela Reinaldo Macedo – Brazil
Here are our first conclusions.
